Rodent Control By PPM
Rodents (rats and mice) have been causing problems for humans for centuries. The most devastating pandemic in human history, The Black Death, was spread by fleas feeding off infected rodents and then spreading it to people.
Thankfully, rodent problems are less significant than that these days. However, they can still prove harmful to humans as mice and rats transmit a variety of bacteria, viruses and diseases through their saliva, feces and urine. Rodents can produce a litter of young monthly, are constantly producing a steady stream of urine to mark their trails wherever they go, and will also drop scores of droppings every single day. Rats and mice belong outside, not in your home.
Do You Need Professional Rodent Control?
If you've only got the odd mouse around the place, putting out a few mouse traps might do the trick but often the problem is more significant than that. There could be several other mice hiding away in other secluded areas and if you've got rats that's even more of an issue as they are very cautious and are incredibly difficult to trap.
Given the health risks, dealing with mouse traps isn't ideal anyway. In fact, it is advisable not to handle any wild rodents at all. If mice or rats are found in your home it is recommended to leave them alone as they may bite to defend themselves. Then contact a rodent removal specialist, such as PPM, so that the rodents can be removed and identified.
